KNIGHT, Dr. Ralph Matthew, DDS - Of Fenton, age 64, died Sunday, February 21, 1999 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be held 11AM Wednesday, February 24, 1999 from the St. Michael Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Eion Murphy will officiate. Final interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family of Dr. Knight will receive friends at the Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home from 7PM to 9PM Monday and on Tuesday from 10AM to 4PM. Visitation Tuesday evening will be at St. Michael Catholic Church from 6PM to 9PM. A parish scripture service will be held at 7PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Powers High School Endowment Fund, Ronald McDonald House of Detroit or McLaren Hospice. Dr. Knight was born in Flint, MI, March 18, 1934, the son of Roy and Elizabeth (Horrigan) Knight and had lived in the Flint area all of his life. He married Marie P. Lacey on October 24, 1964 and they have celebrated over 34 years of marriage. He is a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church of Fenton, a 1953 graduate of St. Michael High School, a 1962 graduate of Marquette University Dental School. Dr. Knight was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hybernians, 3rd degree member of Council #695 Knights of Columbus, Genesee District Dental Society, Mid State Dental Study Club and Midland Dental Study Club. Dr. Knight practiced dentistry for 36 years in the Flint area. Ralph will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by: his wife, Marie P. Knight of Fenton; 5 children, Timothy Knight of Chicago, Mark Knight and wife Kathleen of Grand Blanc, Ted Knight of Midland, Maureen Knight of Fenton, Bridget Knight of Chicago; grandson, Jacob Michael Knight; 3 brothers, Thomas Knight and wife Donna of Midland, Gerald Knight and wife Josie of Flushing, Richard Knight and wife Cheryl of Fenton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Pauline Lacey of Deland, FL, Frances Ackley of Flint, John and Margaret Mahoney of Bloomfield Hills, MI; many nieces, nephews and friends. Dr. Knight was preceded in death by his son, Michael Thomas Knight on November 26, 1983, his parents, Roy and Elizabeth Knight, sister, June Knight, mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Larry Lacey. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Henry Mendoza, Deb Fitch, RN., and all of the other care givers at McLaren Hospice.
