Rachel Waterbury was born about 1643 in Watertown, Massachusetts. She was 15 when her father died.

She married John Holmes on 11 May 1659 in Stamford, Connecticut.

In 1668, Rachel and her husband received from Joseph Garnsey the part of Lot 9 in Stamford, CT due Rachel from the estate of her father, John Waterbury.

About 1681, Rachel and John moved to Bedford, New York.

Rachel died before her husband who died about 1714.
