Ada. G. Sweeney of Pickford died unexpectedly at 1:48 a.m. today at War Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Sweeney was born March 2, 1897 in Sterlingville and had been a lifelong resident of the Pickford area. She was a member
of the Holy Family Church of Barbeau. Her husband Eugene Sweeney died Dec 31, 1969, and two daughters Edith and Ethel also predeceased her.

She is survived by two sons Richard Sweeney of Pickford and Aaron Sweeney of St. Ignace, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters Mrs. Roy (Ethel) Fountain of Pickford, Mrs. Sid (Lula) Wahl of Sault Ste. Marie and Mrs Edna Lakonen of Warren.

Calling hours at the Quinnell Funeral Home will begin at 2 pm Wednesday with a rosary at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Thursday at the Holy Family Church in Barbeau, with the Rev. Joesph Callari officiating. Burial will be in Donaldson Catholic Cemetery. Six grandsons will be pallbearers.
