Although born in Canada, according to the 1871 Census of Canada, Hannah was of Irish origin. In 1889 Hannah, then the widow of William J. Hunter, claimed 160 acres of homestead land in Chippewa County, Michigan. Her death record states her age at the time of her death as 65 years, 11 months, 20 days.

According to research by Virgean Rightmyer's records, Hannah died in Goetzville, MI.
