HARVEY PENNINGTON
Harvey E. Pennington, 83, a lifelong resident of Pickford, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995 at War Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 28, 1912 in Pickford and farmed all of his life. He was an auctioneer in the Eastern U.P. from the mid 1940's until 1955 and also worked for the Mackinac Island Carriage Tours for several summers. He was a member of the Pickford Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his nephew Charles Pennington; one niece, Mary Jane Pennington, both of Pickford; one brother, John of Westland; one sister, Doris Holton of Leslie; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois on June 28, 1979; three brothers, Norman, Howard and Frank; and four sisters, Leola Bawks, Maria Hope, Hulda Roe and Melinda Hunter.
Friends may call on Friday at the Reamer Funeral Home in Pickford from 12 noon until time of services.
Services will also be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Pickford Township.
Memorials may be made to the Pickford Presbyterian Church or the Hospice of Chippewa County.
