Beloved wife of the late Arthur Owen Martyn (September 29th, 2005) and loving mother of the late William Arthur "Bill" (November 1, 1990). Dear mother-in-law of Deanne Martyn and loving grandmother of Kristen (Adam Lethbridge) and Megan (Brian Green). Predeceased by her sisters Betty Harris (1994), Josephine Lang (2003), Wilma Fleming (2005), brothers-in-law Morley Wallen (1969), George Harris (2001), Bill Lang (1994), Arnold Fleming (1993), George Martyn (1987), and her sisters-in-law Helen Martyn (1996) and Mabel Martyn (1997). Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins in Britain. Mary was born December 4th, 1919, the eldest daughter of the late William and Mary (Colquhoun) Jack. She graduated from S. T. C. I. in 1937 and London Normal School in 1938. She taught at Seminary Sparta Road, Yarmouth Heights Public School, Red School, Orwell School and finished her career at Sparta Consolidated School. She retired in 1977. Mary was a life member of Alma Street Presbyterian Church until it closed and she transferred to St. John's Presbyterian Church, Port Stanley. Resting at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1: 00 p. m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 7-9 p. m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the V. O. N. The Lindsay Post, ON, 2012-03-02
