  Research Notes:

I believe this is Harry's family based on the Ohio 1880 census. There is a child living there called Henry that is the right age and the parents are James and Mary J which is what Harry says the names are on his wedding certificate, where he also indicated he was born in Ohio. Also, James Hoy is living with Harry and Minnie in 1910 in Saginaw, Michigan and with a Rose Lacey (part time at both places I guess) and Harry's obit says he is survived by a sister named Mrs. Theodore Lacey.

20 Feb 2006 - Shelly Boccaccio:
I met with Marie Knight last week and we had a very nice visit. She said her father had said James Hoy was from County Meath in Ireland. I know he was living in Michigan in 1910 but I have heard he is buried in Canal Fulton, Ohio in the Catholic Cemetery.

  Burial Notes:

Information from his funeral record at Saints Phillip and James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton, reports that James died from "paralysis." This funeral record also indicates that he is buried in the church cemetery although he does not have a headstone. The church is unable to provide an exact burial location due to a fire in 1945 where many records were lost. Both the Michigan and the Ohio obituary confirm that James's body was sent back to Canal Fulton, Ohio for a funeral at Saints Phillip & James.
