James J. McSweeney, 83, formerly of the Sault, died Friday, July 5, 1940 at Newberry. He was born in New York state on July 6, 1856. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Dan Donnelly of Tone; four sons, John, James and Richard of Detroit, and Joseph, whose residence is unknown. The body lies in state at the Beaumier funeral home where the rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will be in Donaldson Cemetery.
