OBITUARY: Aged Resident of Adell Dies After a Brief Illness, Adell - James McLaughlin aged 79, died Saturday evening at Plymouth Hospital, after having been a patient there for the past three weeks. Mr. McLaughlin made his home with his son Dennis McLaughlin who lives on a farm near here. Mr. McLaughlin was born in New York, July 14, 1852, and came to Wisconsin with his parents in 1862. He lived in the town of Lyndon, Sheboygan county, most of his life. In 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Ella Burke of Milwaukee, who lives at Anna M. Reiss rest home for the aged, in Sheboygan. Besides his wife, Mr. McLaughlin is survived by three sons, Dennis of Adell, James of Portland, Or. and Bert of Norfold, Nebraska and a daughter Bessie of Sparta. Two sons preceded him in death. 7 grandchildren and 4 great grand-children mourn his death. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cascade.
OBITUARY: Sheboygan Press, March 29, 1932; Services held for J. McLaughlin. Waldo - Funeral rites for James McLaughlin, 71, who died March 19, at the Plymouth Hospital, were held last week Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's church in Cascade. The Rev. Raymond Kelly conducted the requiem mass. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were John Lavey, George Lavey, Jerry Lamb, Wilford Darling, James Fitzpatrick and Tony Mugan. Out-of-town persons at the funeral were Mr. McLaughlin's daughter, Mrs. Bessie Plummer of Sparta, Wis., a son, Bert McLaughlin of Nebraska and a cousin of Chicago. Mr. McLaughlin was well known in this vicinity, having resided on a farm, located about three miles south of Waldo, for more than thirty years.
